Women of Faith - EGBC Ladies' Ministry
Ladies' Joy Circle
The purpose of the Joy Circle is to cultivate the attitude of a servant. The nature of Jesus was servanthood. Think for a minute how Jesus conducted His ministry. He selected twelve disciples whom He trained in order to go out and make disciples of others.
This group of women assist with banquets (Christmas, Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving, Mother & Daughter banquet etc.), serve luncheons for funerals, and help maintain the church kitchen. These behind-the-scenes women are committed servants of EGBC.
As chairwoman of a Joy Circle, a woman has the wonderful opportunity to help make their volunteers successful servants. We hope they will catch a vision for what each will become as Christ works in and through them.
Come join us in becoming a part of the Joy Circle ministry! We strive to carry out all our church programs with excellence. Each year we learn more about what we can do better. It will be, for you, a time of hard work, personal sacrifice, and wonderful growth as you labor with the Lord.
Ladies' Visitation and Soul Winning
All EGBC ladies are invited to meet at the church at 9:45am on Saturdays to visit absent, sick, or nursing home-bound members of the church. Any ladies who would like to have the opportunity to introduce someone to the Lord can go with a Soul Winner that Mrs. Seaba has selected. For more information on the ladies' visitation and soul winning ministry, please see Mrs. Seaba.
Ladies Bible Study
This ministry is offered for women of all ages to worship, study the Word, and pray together. Jean Wright is the leader of the ladies' Bible study, which will begin August the 27th Thursday's at 10am.
Prayer Chain Ministry
"Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
This is the foundation of the prayer ministry which coordinates EGBC's all church prayer chain. Goals of the prayer ministry include: providing an avenue for prayer requests among the people of EGBC, and to support and encourage fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and their families and friends through the power of prayer. If you want to be added to our prayer chain, please see Mrs. Seaba.
Retreats and Conferences
n. Re-treat (ri-tret) or Conference
1. A quiet, private or secure place: REFUGE
2. A time of group withdrawal for prayer, meditation, and study.
Conferences at EGBC are designed to give women opportunities to withdraw from their daily schedules and family responsibilities so that they can be replenished in their knowledge and experience of God. All conferences will seek to meet the diverse ages and life experiences of the women of EGBC, and will create opportunities for women to develop relationships with other women. Watch out for upcoming opportunites to go to different conferences, and plan on getting refreshed and renewed with us!
Bulletin Board Ministry
The bulletin board ministry is designed for those of you that like to work on bulletin boards, announcements, and seasonal and upcoming events. This ministry is headed up by Debbie Seaba, our Pastor's wife. If interested in being a part of the bulletin board ministry, please see Mrs. Seaba.
"Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like-minded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."
If God is moving in your heart to serve, we would love you to join our team.
